We went to Colca Canyon last week-twice as deep as the US of A's Grand Canyon-and it was a welcome change from Lima. Although I'm getting soft living at sea level and it took awhile to get used to the altitude, it was just what I needed after EIGHTY FIVE planes this year.

The view from the ride out to see the condors. We saw no condors, as apparently after 2pm in the afternoon, the condors stop putting on their shows. We did not, however, have to pay the $20 gringo tax to not see the condors.
